Vikki lay in slumber next to her beloved spouse, however, the sleep of this lovely young redhead was not peaceful and still as was most daylight hours.Her eyelids started to flutter rapidly and images started to flash through her mind, images that made her feel a deep sense of fright and a desire to flee.
She moved in her sleep, arms twitching, hands clenching as she started to breathe rapidly. She did not need to breathe but she, like many vampires kept in the habit so as to blend in better with humans or mortals of other races and the panic that was settling over her made this reaction kick in.She saw herself the night she was turned, she felt so cold and wet and sticky and surrounded by the heavy scent of her own lifes blood as it poured from a bullet wound to the gut.
She could feel the pain all over again, feel the burning pain and feel the weak, sickly dizziness slowly consume her. Shed dreamed this before sense that night when Paco had turned her but this time...this time there was more. She saw bits and pieces of other images flood her mind, images that seemed disordered and made her fear worse as she groaned in her sleep, mumbling and her arms moving as if trying to shield herself.
She saw a mam in a ski mask, classic crook look and the way he looked at her frightened her. His green eyes looked so cold and his grin was almost a scoul filled with uncareing as he raised a gun. But she was not in that 7 11. no she was with him in the street struggling as she tried to break free as she felt the cold steel against her temple.
" No.. let me go.. why are you doing this" she mumbles as she thrashed upon the bed, in her dream she broke free and ran. She heard the shot, felt the pain and tried to keep running as she heard laughter behind her" Stupid bitch, your dead in the water" a deep voice echoed in her mind as she staggered on and finally fell, a plastic bag with a few snack items bought falling from her grasp as she slumped upon the cold concrete.
She saw the man again as he leaned over her and started rifling through her purse, taking what bit of cash she had in her wallet and throwing the purse on the ground beside her as he laughed once more and turned to go.
The laughter kept sounding in her mind and she could not take it any more. Finally sleep turned her loose and she sat straight up in bed, screaming and shaking like a leaf on a windy day as she was covered in a cold sweat.. was she finally remembering? Were the memories she seemed to fear so much finally trying to force their way through? She looked around desperately in the dark room safely shielded from the sunlight and prayed her Grimmy was still there beside her.

Grim was lying half asleep in bed. He had undergone some life changing events and wasn’t really tired, but he wanted to lie next to his lovely bride. ‘Maybe a drink might help quiet my mind’ he thought. Rolling over, he opened his nightstand drawer and pulled out a small bottle. Unscrewing the cap, he downed the contents in one swallow.
Vikki’s movement caught his eye, and he turned to her. Not a whole lot scared Grim, but when she sat-up and screamed, Grim was scared shitless. “Baby, what’s wrong? Are you alright?” Grim had no idea what was the matter and by God he wasn’t about to loose her. He placed his arms around her and held her close to his chest…“It’s alright baby, Grimmy has you and won’t let anything hurt you ever again.”
Grim could tell that what ever it was really frightened her. He wanted to comfort her, but he really didn’t know how to. He had no idea what frightened her so. “You can tell me anything or nothing, love. Let me know if I can help in any way.”

She almot screamed again when he touched her but when she realized it was him she held him close, burying her face against his neck as she tried to calm down " Oh sweetheart, it was awful. I had that nightmare again of what lead to my turning but there was more, i saw who shot me.. i heard his voice.I felt him grab me and heard him laugh as i lay bleeding out. It scared the hell out of me.. why do i feel like i should know more about this man.." she said in fustration as she shivered, remembering the way his gloved hands felt as he grabbed her in the dream.

Grim held her close, "I am here darling, nothing will harm you." Stroking her hair, "So tell me, why should you know the man who shot you? I thought it was some stranger, someone you had never seen before."
Grim moved her head away from his neck, looked into her eyes and spoke quietly..."Baby you know I love you and we will figure this out together. I am going to always stand by your side and help you in any way possiable." Leaning in, he kissed her and then placed her head on his chest.

She felt herself starting to calm some as he held her. She kissed him tenderly and nuzzled against him, his gentle voice soothing her ." Thank you sweetheart, im so glad you are here. Im so blessed to have found you."
She looked up at him, thinking of how to answer" I... i dont know. All i have ever dreamed before was just laying on the ground dieing and seeing Paco standing over me and trying to comfort me as he changed me. It wasnt untill after i came round that i saw papers and news casts that spoke of the 7 11 hold up and we pieced together that i must have been an unknown casualty of that." she says and ran a hand through her hair.
"Do you think i really could have known who did it? That my memories are starting to break through? I... i want to know.. i want to know everything but theres a part of me that is still so scared .."

“I don’t know sweetheart. Your memories might be trying to break through, or you might be filling in the blanks with familiar images.” Grim wanted to help her but really didn’t know the particulars of the incident. “Perhaps I might do some digging myself and see what I can turn up.”
Looking at her, he thought ‘how anyone can hurt such a beautiful young woman?’ “Baby I promise you this, we both shall find the answers you seek… together. Now the first place we need to look is in the newspapers. Everyone knows how reporters seek out carnage. Then we shall head over to the T.V. stations and hopefully they will let us look at the footage.” Grim scratched his head, “I may still have a friend or two on the police force, and maybe they will let me get a look at the investigation files.”
“And Vikki dear, as long as I am with you; you have nothing to be scared of. I will protect you… always and forever. I love you baby, god I love you so much.” He leaned in and gave her a deep passionate kiss.

She holds him close as they kiss, a hot kiss full of firey passions and deep love. Her hands gently caress along his body as they share the intimate moment and she snuggles sweetly against him when their lips part .
" I love you baby. You allways know how to help reassure and comfort me. Thats a good idea, to loook at video footage or read written accounts. It might jog my memories or at least give clues on things to look out for as i go about my nightly business." She smiled at him, he was wise and knowing that he would help play detective with her made her feel strong enough to face the things she might see or read of.
" It will be sunset soon, i can sense it. I guess i might as well get up and shower and get ready for the night. Do you want me to fix you something when im done love ?" she asks, wanting to do something normal and wifey, if even for a few moments , to help clear her head and put her mind at ease more before they hit the streets in search of information. or monsters to kill.

Grim rose up in the bed, “Well dear how about you surprise me.” Getting dressed, Grim looked around the room… “Honey do you remember where I laid my weapons at? While you are getting ready I was going down to the training room and practice some.” Grim needed to do some training, but helping Vikki remember her past was more important right now.
“When you are ready come and get me. Hopefully I will not have injured myself too badly.” As he left the room, Grim thought back to his warrior days, and how much he hated training. He made his way down the steps and made his way to the library to fetch a book on Clerics.

She was starting to feel better, little normal things such as helping him find his weapons or planning the making of a snack for him helped focus her mind and calm her soul. The memories of the dream and the way it made her feel would still linger there in the back of her mind but she knew her beloved would stand beside her and knowing that gave her a strength to push on to solve this.
After she freshened up and dressed she hurried down to the kitchens and fixed him some coffe and placed a few of the fresh batch of donuts that she and Gena made before bed this morning upon a little plate and went off to find him, tray in hand. She knew he was never fully awake untill he had his coffe, a habit that his vampirism had not effected it seemed.
