The swiriling mist dissapated around them and they found themselves in the grand entryway of her family home. Castle Windstarr, its construction finished just over 200 years ago by her great grand father and grand father and left long abandoned untill she found her way to this city a year ago.

She was bringing her new son home, the young man who just minutes ago shed brought across in order to save him. It still angered her, the brutality of people. He was so young and full of promise but now.. now he would truely be able to find out just how much promise he had as he embarked upon this new life.

Gena was still worried for him, he was weak from his turning and no doubt still in some pain as his body was undergoing the transfrmation.She still held onto him as she helped him through a door off to the right and into one of the castle living rooms."We are home now son. Easy now, sit here and relax" she softly says as she helps him to sit upon a leather sofa, large and comfy. She hurries to a special little cabanet and removes three vials of blood, knowing hed need them soon and she returns to his side.

" This is your home now dear one. You have many brothers and sisters who often come in as well as cousins and nieces and two fathers" she says with a grin. She did not know if he had a family before but by heavens hed gotten one now, a very large and interesting one that hed start meeting soon.

" When you start to feel your thirst, these vials will help you. Your body might still be feeling strange from the changing, thats normal. Dont be afraid to ask me anything tho if you need your mind put at ease. You have a lot to learn about what youve become" she smiles and softly pats his hand.

During the teleportation, Lochlyne almost lost his balance as the world turned into a rushing blur around them. He closed his eyes for fear that in that very instant, he would have flown into a brick wall.. But everything stopped. The chilling night air that he felt was gone, having turned into a warm and hospitable feel. The distinct smell of the alleyway having left with nostrils, was replaced with a homely scent; and when he had opened his eyes, he realized he had been standing in the foyer of a castle. Though frail from his wounds and weak from his recent turning, he looked about with the curiosity of a child being brought somewhere new and very interesting.

"I really do feel.. at home here," Lochlyne said to Gena as she had helped him sit upon the large leather couch. It took him some great difficulty to sit since the wounds were not only upon his chest, but also on his abdominal area. He wrapped an arm around his stomach as he sat. Even though he did feel quite at home, he felt.. unclean. His white shirt was covered with his own blood still, containing the four wholes which the bullets had passed through. Even leaning back was painful because of the fresh exit wounds upon his back. Boy, did he look like a mess.

Lochlyne listened to her words with a smile, "I can not wait to meet them all.. I just hope they will all accept me into the family." He watched Gena retrieve the vials.. his thirst? Could that have meant him craving for blood.. Well.. he did actually have an extremely strange craving deep down inside him. A craving that no ordinary food could have satisfied. "I am willing to learn what I must do now to survive.. And I promise that I will try to fit into this family.." He reclined back slowly, cringing as he rested the back of his head against the cushions of the sofa, taking in a deep breath as he closed his eyes for a moment.[/i]

" You will do just fine my dear" she says with a warm and gentle smile. The bond of sire and childe was allready taking hold and she could sense the discomfort he felt in the way he looked. She felt the physical pain that remained within him and she wondered if her being a half human would pass on any special traits to him.All of her children were unique but that was not just a bragging mothers opinion. In fact several of her children had special attributes , some carried over from life and some becoming known after they were brought across and she loved all of her childer deeply.

" Your new siblings are all very different, some quite unusual and with distinct personalities. But we all love each other and im sure they will gladly welcome you. Try and relax my dear, dont you worry, leather wipes clean" she says and stands to move to the doorway. She sees one of the few servants she employs and speaks to her." Mrs Hendrics, please get one of the rooms ready in the family wing. I have a new son. Yes just put on fresh linnens and towels and things for his bathroom, he can decorate his rooms to suit him later. Thank you ."

She moved back to sit beside him" How are you feeling sweetpea?"

During the time that Gena went away from the living room, Lochlyne decided to do a little exploring.. with the eyes of course since he did not want to exert too much effort trying to stand and walk. His eyes caught glimpse of a portrait. It was Gena in the center.. and at both her sides were her two loves. His fathers now. As the warmth of the castle began to get him, he started to removed his black jacket, looking somewhat in pain as he did so since it required a lot of body movement. Once his jacket was off, one could easily see the damage done. His pure white shirt had been stained red with blood, most of which still looked soak and fresh.

Upon her return, he was startled slightly as she suddenly spoke. "Oh, I'm doing all right.. Still in pain," he cringed as he sat back slowly, placing his jacket behind him against the backrest of the couch as to not get anymore blood on it. "And I have this strange craving that I can't exactly place. . I mean, I'm not hungry for food but.. Then again.." He looked at the vials of blood on in the cabinet nearby.. "Would that be what this craving is for, Mother?"

" Yes dear one, that would be correct. Now there is a chance that you still will be able to enjoy times of eating and drinking as a mortal, most of my children do and in fact i was born a dhampir. I am half human, half vampire" she explaines.

" But for the first couple of days at least you must feed on blood. It will nourish you and it will help you heal. Once you feed well you will feel your senses start to sharpen and your body grow stronger. Your wounds will close and the pain will start to lessen. A bedroom is being prepared for you with your own bathroom. A few vials, a hot bath and a good days sleep and you should feel so much better" She smiles.

" I do not sense my daughter in law Starya or my Daughter in law Vikki here, they must be out for the evening. They are healers you see, but i do know another young healer, a Celestia who is a family friend. If you like i will call her and ask her to stop by. I know some of healing but i chose the warriors path my son, a cleric can look you over and help put your mind at rest and give your reborn body a bit of a kick start in its healing process."

She smiles at him and looks at his bloody, torn clothes. Yes the blood will help, yes his body would heal but those thugs did a number on him and a clerics services would not be a bad idea if he agreed to it and she could get ahold of her young friend.

He nodded slowly, realizing that he really did have to drink the blood. As much as the thought seemed to horrify him at first, the fact begun to settle inside him that in order for him to heal properly and cope with what he had become, he had to do it. Yes, his clothes were a mess, riddled with dirt from the alleyway pavement and his own blood which begun to cake over on his jeans. Dried blood was not exactly an easy sight for Lochlyne to see. He pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket, which surprisingly still looked clean, and wiped his mouth of the blood that was about to cake over as well.

When Gena had mentioned about a cleric who would assist him in the healing process, Lochlyne returned his eye's attention to her, having wiped his mouth and chin clean. "I mean.. If it wouldn't be any trouble, Mother.. I don't like bothering people if they already are doing something else or.. you know." Yes, Lochlyne did respect other people's time, and he did not want to take it up especially if it was something he could probably do himself.. In this case it would be for his own body to recuperate on it's own.

Aside from that, Lochlyne was looking very forward to nice and comfortable bed. The bed he had in his apartment look like it had been beaten many times with a mallet over the years. On top of that, he was definitely looking forward to a shower; he felt completely grimy and filthy after that incident. He could feel the blood hardening against the flesh of his upper body, clotting itself in a way.

" Its no trouble sweety. This young lady im speaking of is a trusted friend and a gentle soul. If shes free i know she will not mind helping." she smiles and hands him the vials of blood." I will go call her. I know this might be difficult at first and you might want to do it privately. I will go out to the hallway and call her and be back in a minute ok hun" she says and softly touches his face.

" You have a gentleness inside you, you have a purity in your soul. Being a vampire does not have to change that so do not fear. We are no more monsters than anyone, no better, no worse. We are people just like any other, good and bad, rich or poor. Do not fear that drinking that will make you a bad man, if you had evil in you i could not have brought you here"

She hopes her words have comforted him and made this strange task go more smoothly for him as she leaves to call Celestia.

Celestia was having a leasurely stroll out on duck and 9th, looking for griffons to kill as she was now assigned to hunt the creatures to grow stronger as part of her studies.She was doing well and things were going great when her cell phone rang. Now very very few people had her number and she saw that it was her friend Gena. She flipped open her cell.

" Hey G whats shaking?"

" Oh really, cool congratz."

" What.. gunshots.. a beating..fuckers."

" Yeah sure ill be right over. No girl its no trouble, ill be happy to. Ill be right over "

The young blonde woman took out a scroll and hurredly read the spell upon it and seconds later she was standing in Genas castle." Hi G" she says as she hugs the lovely redhead about 6 years her senior" Holy cow woman your a mess. Is all this from the injuries done to your new son?"

Celestias eyes showed great concern for the young man who had been hurt so badly and she was eager to do what she could to help." Where is he G?"

" Yes, this is all from him. Hes through here in the living room" She says, glad to see the young womans arrival. She knocks upon the door before entering.

"Sweety, Celestias here" she says and opens the door, the gorgeus young cleric following her in" Celestia this is my newest son Lochlyne. Loch this is a friend of the family, Celestia Crannon"

The two women moved over to him, celestia eager to examine him . She seemed to look at him with a great interest as well as a medical concern and Gena knew hed be in good hands. Between her and Celestia they would get her son well on his way to recovery.

Lochlyne gave his mother a warm smile as she left the room.. but.. after she had gone, and of course listening to what she had said, he looked down at the vial of blood and grimaced a little bit. But this had to be done. And her words made him feel a little bit better about doing it. He stared at the dark red liquid in the vial for a few seconds, swirling it around and around before he closed his eyes and mustered up the courage to down the blood.

Tasting that distinct iron tinge of flavor, Lochlyne's closed eyes squinted. He fought the urge to gag on the liquid, letting his free hand grip his pant leg as he forced it down his throat. In time, he would acquire the taste of it, even crave it at times, but he was still a young vampire.. And this was his first feeding. Once all the blood had been consumed from the vial, Lochlyne's hands seemed to shiver a little bit. He tilted his head back, as if forcing the blood down his throat until it was in his stomach.. and when that had been done, he licked his lips a little bit and consumed that last bit. He let out a long sigh, as if the drink had quenched a thirst. But this sigh seemed more supernatural and a little frightening, even to himself, as it echoed all around the living room.

Once again, after savoring.. or.. perhaps grimacing.. his first feeding, he was startled. The knock on the door almost made him jump out of his skin. After the door open, Lochlyne quickly shot his head around to see his mother and a very attractive young woman striding towards him. He forced himself to stand up, clutching his stomach and at the vial he still held. This was one of Lochlyne's mindsets.. To always stand up when someone of high respect had entered a room. Standing even looked painful for him while he clutched his stomach. He was hunched over in pain as he stood.. He bowed with some trouble to the two women. "Hello Mother.. Hello Celestia.. It is nice to meet you." He forced a smile to both the women before doing his best to stand up strait.

"Drinking this," he said while holding up the empty vial, "is going to be taking some used to.. "

" I know sweetheart. But you have done well and i am so proud of you. Now please sit sweety, Celestia can you help him hun?" she asks. She was glad that her son was a gentleman but she was more concerned right now for his health. Gena was one to dote on her family and felt a fierce need to protect them, tho sadly she could not allways do so.

" Oh yeah, i think i can help him" she says with a smile. Celestia was a shy but friendly girl. Playful around the right people and allways eager to help out a friend." Dont worry Lochlyne, i know it tastes icky as all hell at first but it does get easier and tastes much sweeter. Its nice to meet you now sit please before you fall over"

She was a healer and her healing instincts were taking over. She gently tore open his shirt and removed it from him, handing the bloody rag to Gena to dispose of as she looked carefully at his wounds. She found him to be rather handsome beneath all the blood and gore and she couldnt help but blush a bit as she looked at him.

" Bastards, i hope they get theirs very soon. Thank the gods that G found you. Many other vampires here would just laugh at you and let you die. Relax now. Im going to use some vampiric healing magic on you. It should help your wounds start to heal. The blood will help heal and strengthen you as well"

She smiles and softly takes his hand and closes her eyes as she whispers a healing chant to summon her energies and a warmth seems to flow through him.It is a gentle warmth, comforting, she hoped, and the energies flowed over him and pooled at his most wounded areas to heal and soothe.

" She opened her eyes after a couple of minutes and smiled" There you go, just rest Lochlyne. Rest a moment and tell me how your body is feeling." She says in a gentle whisper as she sits beside him, still holding his hand .

"I don't think any words could ever express how thankful I am that Gena saved my life.." He gave his mother a humble smile before sitting down as she said. When Celestia had ripped off his rag of a shirt, he was, yet again, caught by surprise. His torso was now fully exposed to both his mother and Celestia now, revealing the fatal wounds that have been causing him pain ever since they were first administered. The bullet wounds still looked open, and one could clearly see into the body through each wound.. though no blood seeped through any wound at all. It still was a sickening sight to see, especially his back where the bullets created exit wounds. Dried blood had been caked all over his chest, stomach, and his back.

He nodded softly to her words as she spoke before before she took her hand. Lochlyne couldn't help but feel exposed. Indeed, through all the gore and dried blood, Lochlyne's physique was quite something. Clearly the man had taken good care of himself. His cheeks flushed an extremely pink color as he watched Celestia's every move; his tentative gray eyes watched her lips as she whispered the healing chant.. And within those few minutes, a warmth seemed to constantly was over his body, especially over the wounds. He couldn't help but close his eyes and give in to the relaxing feeling as his body began to lay back gently, as if some gently and mystical force gently rested his back on the cushioned backrest of the couch. His hand had slowly become more clingy to hers, almost lacing their fingers together.

When Celestia had stopped the healing spell, her words seemed to echo into his mind as she asked how his body was feeling. He remained silent for a moment, looking quite tranquil. His eyes were still closed, and his hand still held onto hers. "I feel relaxed. And the pain is no longer present." He opened his eyes slowly and turned his head so his eyes could have a better look at Celestia. For the longest time he looked at her.. his cheeks still flushed a light pink color. "Th-Thank you, Celestia." He stuttered.. Now, that was rare.

She smiled sweetly at him and cutely chewed at her lower lip" You are very welcome Lochlyne. If you ever need me feel free to give me a call. Id me more than happy to come heal you or even help you in your training some " She offers.

Now allthough each class has its own abilites to master, one aspect of training and growing stronger that all vampires in this city faced was the constant battles with strange and often powerful monsters.These things tested your mettle both physically, mentally and magically though the rewards that came from besting them and the personal growth and mastery of your skills was worth it.

She knew Gena had the teaching of her childer well in hand but she also knew Gena was a busy woman. Wife, mother and clan leader she often had a full plate and so Celestia would gladly lend a hand to her family if ever needed.

" So Lochlyne, how long have you been in the city?" she asks, curious to learn about the young man and she could tell Gena was curious as well. Gena also had an interesting little smile playing upon her lips as she watched the two chatting.

"I will keep that in mind, Celestia.. Thanks." He gave her a much more confident smile, unaware that he was still holding her hand. But his hand seemed quite aware as it lazed their fingers together completely. "I've been living here for.. Three weeks come tomorrow afternoon. I haven't really gotten around much the city. I've been working down at Aufstand Motorworks down in the Industrial Sector. I was always warned by the locals to never wander outside the streets past sundown. I heeded their warnings until.. well.. Today." Lochlyne looked down for a moment and then to his mother.

"In a way, I'm very glad that I.. did go out. And that everything thus far has happened to me, as far fetched as it sounds. But, its been so long since I've had a real home to be in. I finally feel like a belong here. And I'll do everything it takes to earn the respect of everyone." He looked at his mother for quite some time, and the Celestia, managing to lock his gaze with hers once again. The wounds on his body did not look as sore as they had been a few minutes ago. Celestia's vampiric magic was indeed working on his wounded body.

Though he was making a full recovery at that, he looked extremely tired. And his eyes did truly show it. Perhaps it was a good idea to was up first before sleeping.
